Installing Mugen intake, where do we put the metal plate?
We can't figure it out, and the pictures are not very helpful. Anyone know where to put the metal plate?

I helped my friend install his a few months ago. We couldn't figure out where it is supposed to go either --- we just ended up leaving it out.

I had the same problem when I installed mine. I coudn't figure it out from the pics and no matter how much I turned and tried fitting it, I just could not figure it out. I ended up leaving mine off as well.
That being said, my guess is that it's a splash shield of sorts that is supposed to be mounted above the intake opening in the wheel well. I talked to another owner who did his own install and he said he did manage to get that plate on and that it was indeed a shield that is positioned above the intake opening. He is supposed to send some pics when he gets around to opening his up wheel well. I've not yet had the chance to go back in there and play with it again, but I will.... someday.
Until then, the car runs fine w/o it.
If you figure it out, take some pics and post them. I'd be very curious to see how that thing goes in there.

It goes behind the headlight. You have to be under the car as if you were installing the last attachment part of the mugen intake to see where the metal shield goes. You bolt it behind & a little under the front headlight. Its a little difficult to explain through here, but if you try it you will see what I mean. Removing the bumper light will help you see where it goes & it will help a lot to install it. The bolts are a little difficult to screw on due to the weird position they are at.
