I know a guy who is a kind of mechanic. He has to deal with metal (sharpening, hardening...ect).

This guy told me it is not a big thing to find out, how Honda manufacture their cams, how they make the cores and how they work and harden the lobes...
With that info it is easy to manufacture aftermarket cams with exactly the same quality, according to him.

I don`t have much knowledge in these things so I did not flame him or so... I just know of cam breaking and wearing in... Why does this happen if it should be so easy to copy OEM quality ?

I`m just interested in what you think..
