Default 1/4 mi times for my B18B

Okay...

here is the scenario (if you can't tell i'm not to pleased )...The tires that i had to run on were CRAPPY Federales (the ones at Discount where you can get 4 for 100 bucks)... the custom intake was really dirty and not on right (homemade, what can i say). being really high above sea level (dont know the correction numbers)

Here is what I ran( mind you that i spun the tires through my whole first gear and half of second gear)

1/4 time = 15.71
Reaction = 0.8139
MPH = 86.32
60' = 2.345
1/8 time = 10.03

that was actually my best run. when i went out i was running 16.2. Well, after warming up my rusty track skills i dropped it down half a second.

Note to everyone... my car was tipping the scales at a HEFTY 2500 lbs
My fat *** weighs in at 205 lbs.

Well, when I get better tires and drop some pounds and get a new intake i will like to run it again. I think that is horrible if you ask me.

i ran 15.3 for my D16Y8 CX hatch with 205/50-15 Falken Azenis (pretty bald) and stock 4x4 suspension. probably could of hit 15.1-15.2 with better tires and good suspension. i pulled 2.23 60ft's.

u should be able to run low 15's with good tires.

that is what everyone has told me....

grippy tires would decrease my times a lot

Azenis? Ecsta's? Yok's?

those tires are for autocross/track they have VERY stiff sidewalls so they arent good for drag, look into those BFG drag radials unless you do autocross or do open track days..

they will decrease your time no matter what but if you dont do any twistie racing you are better off with the drag radials.

What is your set up? I ran a 15.1 in my 93 dx full interior. i/h/e, act street, and cam gears. 15" steelies with potenza rubber. This was at gulfport, mississippi. Had to drive like an hr then let my car cool off.

edit: i cut a 2.2 60ft.

high elevation tracks suck. I run 14.7 @ Palmdale on street tires (b18c1 hatch).

basicly w/in the 15 sec range depending on your skill at lauching. and many other factors(tires,tire pressure,outside temp, groung temp, type of fuel,60ft etc.etc)

Good meeting you tonight Marvin

I didn't know that RCR was that high above sea level (I feel better now ), do you know the elevation?

Don't think too poorly of it though man. I'm pretty sure since it was a Wed. that they didn't prep the track as well as normal- shoot even the muscle cars were barely breakin mid 13's and some were running mid 14's. I was pissed due to the fact that this was the coldest its been when I went to the track yet and my traps were about 2 mph slower than they have ever been.
By the way did you say it was your roommate driving the RSX? hehhe

Hahaha- Yess!! I'm usually a lot more friendly with everyone but it was cold and I was pissed at the times I was running .....

Yeah thats my point, my runs actually felt good but traps were way low even with good 60fts. I decided to blame the track after watching mustang w/nitrous and all other muscle cars run 14's

At least you broke into the 15's, I would have been pissed if I would still been in the 16's w/ a swap. It's a clean swap though, now turbo that bish.
