Okay, recently, as I was driving, my stock radio started smoking. I took it into the dealer, and they have agreed to warranty the unit (weir canyon acura). I called in today to check in on the order of my stock itr radio. They say that it is on backorder.

Now my question is, what does it exactly mean for backorder. I heard that it meant that Acura currently does not have the unit in storage. And that the dealer must order it from the manufacturer of the unit. Is there anything I can do to speed up the process? Because I can not drive the itr without music, though the engine sound is beautiful enough as it is... Driving just isn't driving without music to sing to.

The only thing you can do is wait.

Backorder means Honda is making them and there is none in stock.
