Default Problems after swap! help

I got my distributor on today, finished up the wiring, start it up and it seems to idle fine. So i go to drive the car out of the garage, but when i hit the gas it sorta bogs, then revs. Then i pull out into the road, to take it for a spin, and it seems to be hitting soem sort of fuel cut off/redline at around 2-3k rpms. I have a CEL, but i havent checked that yet. I tried messing around with the harness, but couldnt figure it out. I think the knock sensor might be fucked up to, could that be causing it? This swap is starting to frustrate me, everything that could go wrong, is going wrong.

Edit: im also using a pr3 ecu, is there any chance the ecu could be screwed up, or maybe an auto ecu?

Edit #2: The jdm motor didnt come with an EVAP, i didnt put the one from the cx motor on it, will this cause a problem?

just wondering what engine you are using-you might have the wrong ecu but I need the engine code to determine that. Try putting the evap on and see if that helps. Give us some more info and I might be able to help a little more.

Ok, i went over and tried checking the CEL. I jumped the connector as shown on c-speeds write up, and the CEL on the dash doesnt flash! so i tried doing it a few other ways, and still the CEL will not flash. Then i started the car back up and the CEL light is still on. On another note, i checked the fuel filter to see what kind of conditiopn that is in, i poured out the gas that was in it and there were rust chunks, and it was pretty clogged, so im gonna replace that and see if maybe thats the problem.

here is a link to a website that might be able to help your with the cel-check the wires and pin that they give you and see if it helps. By the way I would run a p28 with this swap if I were you-not a pr3
