couple of questions here for anyone that has a sohc zc.....

does anyone know what drive belt to use with a non-vtec sohc zc, as well as the oil filter, also........... if you are looking at the back of the motor, there are 2 vaccum nipples in the upper- right hand corner which there is only one hose to occomodate on my crx, which one of the nipples should be plugged? in addition to that, on the upper left hand side, there is a sensor on the d-16 a that there is no hole for on the zc. as far as i can tell, this is for emissions only, but i need to make absolutely sure that this is not a neccessity to have plugged in. any help / info / diagrams / websites would be greatly appreciated.

ok, the problem that i am running into is that the crank pulley & the alternator need a 4-rib belt, whereas the d16 only had a 3 rib belt. I am trying to find out what other vehicle had a 4-rib of the same length that can be used here. also, i still need to know what is the deal w/ the missing sensor on the zc.

 

I have a single zc in my 90 si hatch...everything plugged in. I also used a 3 rib belt on my alternator. Ill double check the belt when I get home but I know I just used my stock A6 belt.

thanks, that would help greatly because as it stands, i just went ahead & put the 3-rib belt on mine, but i assume if there is a place for another rib, then i should probably put a wider belt.

 

just measure it with string and take it into the parts store. they can find u one easy. just tell them u need a 4 rib XX.X length serpetine belt.
