Damn, that is awful. I don't have one, but here's two free bumps from me, I guess.

Did you check the classifieds?

It is a new Law in CA, that the "modified" exhasut ticket is no longer "Correctable" Meaning you no longer have to show proof of correction, you just have to pay a fine. If you check on your ticket, the "correctable" box should NOT be checked. If it is, the ticket will be turned down by the court, trust me, just went thru it.

i talked to the sheriffs dept, and i called the highway patrol, the HP said if i get the exhaust back to stock (since the box isnt checked) i might be able to get away with paying the ticket. either way id rather get rid of mine and get the itr less noise less attention from the wrong people, and im bound to get the same ticket again knowing the cops around here... but thanks for the info

ITR catbacks only bolt on to 94-01 LS/RS/GS or 00-01 GSR.

so id have to go to a muffler shop to get it to fit? its the length of the cat that makes it not fit right?

Yes, the cat is 4.5" shorter. So, for a '94-'99 GS-R you will need to have the Type-R B-pipe extended by 4.5". Here is a picture of my lengthened Type-R B-pipe.

Larger image (cut and paste link): http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...8.jpg.orig.jpg

BTW, I had a 2.5" exhaust flange installed for a future JDM 4-1 header and a 2.5" hi-flow cat. So, my modified Type-R B-pipe will look a little bit different. If you just want to extend the B-pipe and use the stock flange, then you can just have the muffler shop cut the B-pipe about 4-5" back from the flange. Then a piece of 2.25" piping can be expanded on each end and inserted in between.

HTH. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I'm thinking of doing the same going from an Apexi N1 to a Itr cat back, I'm sick of the loudness when vtec opens. Another thing is too many people I see turn their heads, not good. A question I have is am I going to lose power or am I not, wasup guys let me know, I definetly wanna change my exhaust. Right now I have no cat, just straight pipe.

thanx in advance

thats the same reason why im getting rid of mine. too much unwanted attention and noise. i honestly dont think our cars will lose much power unless its modified alot ( cams or fi or something ). and about the test pipe ive herd a itr with stock exhaust with a test pipe, the only diffrence i noticed was when he would get off the gas at a higher rpm it had a raspyness to it, other than that it wasnt loud or anything. goodluck
