My car is running horribly, help me figure out why...
A couple days ago I noticed my car was driving like crap, just seemed to have no pep at all and was being a major slug. I didn't drive my car all yesterday. Today I started it up and it drove horrible also. While I was almost all the way home I came to a stop and I saw the oil light come on and then also the battery light and then the car died. I turned the key and it started up and I got home. I then went to see if my car was throwing any codes and it was not, the ECU was blank. I looked under the car and nothing looked wrong, then I popped the hood and everything looked fine. What do you think it would be? I suspect something with perhaps the distributor. The car doesn't drive rough it's just sluggish. Help me out. I know this isn't a lot of info but it's confusing me.

weird.
check the oil level, just to make sure you're not losing any
about the battery, how old is it? is it still full ov power. or maybe it got a short somehow which caused the light to come on.
what do u mean its running crappy? is it idleing? if so is the idle constant? or fluctuating(going up and down)?

Check your plugs and wires. Also make sure that your distributor timing is correct. If that doesn't help, you could check to make sure that your air filter isn't blocked and that your throttle body is clean. You could also try checking for the correct fuel pressure and a blocked / clogged injector. For that matter, replaced the fuel filter if you haven't recently.
Fuel Filter is about 5 months old. Battery about 1 year. Plugs not even 2 months. Wires about 7 months. And the oil is at the correct level it should be. How do I check dist. timing?
You will need a timing light to check the timing. To check the timing, use a jumper wire to connect the two terminals of the ignition adjustment connector. It is on the left rear corner of the engine compartment on 88 - 89, and under the right side of the dashboard. It should have a brown wire and a green and white wire going to it. Then connect the timing light. Start the engine. Shine the timing light on the crank pulley. A notch in the pulley should line up with a pointer on the timing belt cover. There may be a few different notches on the pulley, so check the label on the underside of your hood for the correct notch. If the timing is off, loosen the distributor and rotate it while the timing light is still pointing at the crank pulley to show you the reading.

Well I drove my car around more before and after work. It seems pretty normal now. Maybe something was clugged then got sucked through? I don't know but seems improved. Also would the fact that it is cold as **** outside matter?
