My moms 97 civic blinker doesnt shut off when yo go to turn it just keeps blinking inless you pop the lever back up. What can I do to fix this?? Any help Thanks.

 

There's a piece of plastic in the steering column that should cancel the signal when it makes contact with the switch. Sounds like yours is broken, or the part it contacts on the combination lever is broken. You would have to pull the shrouds off the column and possibly the steering wheel to check it out and replace the busted part(s). I'm not sure, 'cause I haven't had to do anything like that yet.

 

check the blinker fluid, it may be low.

 

That was one of the dumbest things I have ever heard.

Mine does the same thing. I just pop it back up, not worth fixing for me right now.

yeah, you might want to check the muffler bearings while your at it.
