i'm not really sure since i'm rewiring a dx harness to work with mpfi. the dpfi mian injector has some fairly beefy wire, i'd guess about 14 gauge.

Plenty big enough, the dpfi uses high impendence injectors, so it needs the thicker gauge wire, but with the mpfi, you have the injector resistor box, so you are putting way less volts thru, so you will be fine.
