Recently TypeR1558 posted about not agreeing with someones choice in 18" yellow rims and was flamed very harshly for his view. What I don't understand is why he was flamed for his view? We all hate riced out R's and yellow 18" rims seems really riced out. Now TypeR1558 did say this person should "sell his car" but obviously he is joking. Why do we flame each oher so much?
I like using Honda-Tech because of the vast amount of information found between the members and that most people are very friendly and helpful. We all need to stick together, with out that we won't have a Honda-Tech

 

This is going to do nothing but cause problems. Everyone knows that the R owners in here are very opinionated and there just isnt anything you can do about it. If its not aimed at you then I wouldnt worry about it.

I hear what you are saying and I totally agree. However, this has been an issue for as long as Ive been here, and Im sure way before I got here. Its just one of those things, and I think it occurs on all message boards not just here. There just isnt anything you can do about it. People are always going to want to talk trash to make themselves appear bigger, smarter, cooler, whatever the case may be. It sucks but thats the way it is.

I think people do this because they are sitting in the comfort of their own home and know nothing is going to happen to them phisically. Talking **** to someone on a board takes away the direct personal confrontation that one would experience in public. Its just like George Carlin says "The amount of an ******* someone is, is directly related to the distance the person is from you. [soft voice] The guy standing next to you is sort of an *******. [normal voice] The guy on the otherside of the room is pretty much of an *******, while the guy on the TV is [very loud voice] REALLY AN *******!"

The people who bash other persons on message boards are also the ones who think they can kick anyones *** on the road. Everyone is tough while being surrounded by metal.

Not trying to flame you but it's not like he was posting a compliment then got flamed.

 

I just don't agree with how he got flamed. Now if he had said "look at this NSX the owner should sell it" we would all pretty much agree and not flame him for what he said. But for what ever reason he got flamed pretty badly.

damn bro, you made my day before you accepted the unacceptable. your cause is important, hating of any sort should simply be intolerable. criticizing is one thing, but if you truly want to help somebody out, be respectful and considerate of their feelings and of the issue at hand. why waste time hating? Some people may have just been having a rough day....whereas some just may have gotten picked on too much in high school...who knows? There are reasons why people who are irritated take out their frustrations on others.....to me they are only words and that is all....if some one wants to flame, let it be....if your rude or just being an *** then I will not take your comments seriously....I'm not gonna let them put a dent im my day, especially coming from someone I dont know sitting behind a computer.

 

Ever: By your statement, how could you possibly support his "cause"? His "cause" involves the promotion of a flame by trying to restrict those from flaming the flamer. The whole thread from 1st post to last was just a big flame.

 

It's not really about the original post it's just an example. We all flame and normally it's all in good fun. Soup **** is a good examle of this. It's just when flaming turns into hating.

 

 

I liked that thread. Why? Because I agree with Bob for the most part.
