S2k seats in DC-2....A how to.
ILOVERACING sent me an IM (along with a few others) regarding what is required to install S2000 seats in an Integra. I just thought I would post what steps I took ...a sort of S2k seat install guide. Here's the lowdown: The front two holes DO line up...it's just a matter of bending the rail tabs downward about 30 deg. to match the angle of the floor rail. The rears do require a little work. The outer (nearest the doors) rails need to be shortened about 2 inches (if my memory serves me right). Then you will need to cut a small triangle in the side of each rail portion that is left to allow you to 'bend' that rail end downward. I then tack-welded what is now a seam (what used to be a triangle) for added strength. You will then drill a hole to line up with the floor rail bolt hole (see first pic below). The inner rail (nearest the e-brake) rear is easier. I just used a rat-tail drill bit to enlarge the bolt hole opening in the rail to line up with the bolt hole in the floor. You may want to use a 17mm nut (or anything about that size...I used a motor mount nut)between the rear rails and the floor as spacers (you'll find that the rear rails will sit lower than the fronts if you don't raise them). Yadda, yadda....give them a quick shot of black paint to pretty it up and voila! Hope this helps.
....sorry about the poor quality of the pics (my office camera is really old!)

somebody posted a how-to on putting those seats in an EG, what he did was swap the bottom pan of the seat along with the rails, which made it a direct bolt in w/o any cutting or welding.
They look good but are they better than the stock seats?
. IMHO, the S2k seats offer PLENTY more lateral support(due to bigger bolstering) and, since they are leather, more ease getting in and out. Many stay away from leather for fear of sliding out of the seat during "spirited" driving/cornering. That is generally true of most leather seats. With the S2k seats, however, there is NO SUCH SLIDING. I repeat: You do not slide around in S2k seats! The bolstering is such that once you slide into the seat, you are held firmly in place, even under hard maneuvers. With the ITR seats, I found myself falling out of the seats all the time. Anyways, ...blah, blah, blah......

I have done this but I did it the SAFER way, you can actually swap entire bottoms with your teg seats, rails, recliner, metal bottoms, and all, that way you have a seat that can flip forward and uses your OEM equipment so you know its safe. it only takes about an hour per seat, with no welding or cutting. Its the only way you should do it if you ask me.

Yeah, if you use EG or Del Sol seat rails, you will sit a good 3.5" lower than stock seats. Ive used the S2000 seat rails the same way he did his, and it was fine. I did 2 track events in them.
