HELP 70mm BBK throttle body for a 95 civic

Default HELP 70mm BBK throttle body for a 95 civic

i just bought a BBK 70mm throttle body 2 days ago and when i hooked it all up...and cranked teh car..it idles at 3g's...i've reset the ECU by dissconecting the battery...and pulling hte fuses..well i've tried everything and it's seriously pissing me off..can somone please help asap? thanks alot

possible you put a vacuum line in the wrong spot?

no...i bought it from my friend with the exact same car as me...and we hooked it up on his car but didn't have this problemm...there are 2 vacuum lines that are available..and only one had the right hose size...and the other we plugged up..so i'm seriously not sure but it's pissing me off..any more help would be greatly appreciated

its the throttle cable, you need to adjust it, it is probibly too short for the new tb and it is keeping the butterfly open a idle... follow the cable from the tb to the intake manifold and it should be attached around there, there are 2 bolts that you need to adjust to give it more length.

um the throttle cable was so loose that i had to push the gas half way down just to get the butterfly to open...i thougth of that first then realized that the butterfly was completly closed so i looked for another reason

check the tb gasket and make sure the groove for the vacum and idle a correct....after puttin in a new motor my car idles at 2k rpm and kept on jumping around.....my friends got a bbk 72 mm tb on his type r and he says is normal for the bigger tb to idle around 1500 rpm
