Good So Cal Shop for 96 Civic Exhaust System Overhaul
Hi all,
I live in Orange County in Southern California and I'm looking for a good shop to take my 96 Civic Hatchback for an exhaust system overhaul. I just want to improve the efficienty of my stock engine and hopefully pick up a few HPs on a stock car that is not used for racing. So I would like shop referals from anyone who has done this.
I want to install the following:
1. AEM short RAM air intake
2. DC Sports Honda Civic 4-2-1 Ceramic Coated One Piece Header
3. Apexi WS Cat-Back Exhaust
Thanks for the help !!

dynamic auto is a good place there in lake forest or irvine i forgot they dont have a number , any muffler shop can install your exhaust or header if you cant do it , they can modifie piping your weld on a muffler or what you need i would just look in your phone book for performance shops that work on imports in your area or call local muffler shops
ace muffler on westminister and golden west does a decent job. got my exhaust on the eclipse done there.
I've been told that I may also need a new catalytic converter in order to make this setup smog legal in CA. Is this true ?
Or is there a different header for my 96 Civic DX Hatchback that would still keep me smog legal in CA.

You might want to try posting this in the EG/EK + forum, since that would be the right forum for your car. They might be able to give you more info.

American Muffler, in San Diego does great work..
As far as the cat goes if you have the cat right afte the yeader in back of the radiator,, then your not allowed to move it legally...but most smogs will never be ablet to tell if you relocate it down stream. but you will need to put in two o2 sensors for your car to run correctly
