Default High comp + turbo=???

I want to run a intercooled greddy turbo kit i picked up on my built ls/vtec. I only want to run about 5psi
Motor spec's
Crower rods, arias 11.5 pistons, micro polished crank, P/P head with skunk2 valvetrain and flat valves, type-r lost motion assy and intake manifold, gsr tranny with excedy cerametalllic clutch and type-r flywheel.
I plan on getting AEM ems and some 550's before the turbo.
Any suggestions would be helpful

Personally, I'm all for High compression and boost!!
I don't see a problem running that setup you are proposing.
(Greddy kits say 5PSI, they boost to 7 - 7.5 PSI, well mine does anyways, and its untampered with)
I think the most important things you would want to be concerned with is proper fueling and timing.
For example: I don't think you're gonna want spark at 16 degrees BTDC while boosting or you are most likely going to be picking up pieces of your engine's internals off the road.
Your setup sounds pretty solid, Glad you are looking into a high quality engine management system. The AEM ems look pretty decent, but I have no idea how it really is. Good luck

hey its very possible but if this is your daly driver...be prepared to be pumping high octane....and since you live in cal you know gas aint cheap. i think u might even have to pump 94+ octane at the minimum!!

Do you nmean running those injector's before you put the turbo on, or what? Plan on spending a lot off time trying to tune it. Also go with an Ls tranny if you ever plan on upping the boost. I ran 5psi with 12.5:1 with a GSR tranny traction was non-exsisitent, even when babying it around town.
Just to be on the safe side I suggest adding some form of alcohol injection to the mixture. Water is good too, but it doesn't raise the octane of the fuel like alcohol does. You can do this with 91 octane pump gas with proper tuning, but I don't know about with the Greddy kit. Retard your timing a bunch, and slowly advance it while watching your A/F and EGT's. It will take a long time. It took me three days to get mine to idle smoothly, then it broke ... Change over to the type-R oil pump.

10.4:1 cr + 10 psi +AEM EMS = 310hp/240tq
