Well, this isn't a Honda, but I thought you guys may appreciate it, seeing that GTR's are a rare commodity in the USA. It's probably not up to USA standards, especially with the standard of the local track, but it's a cool little video none the less. The trap speed in this 8.75 run was 150mph.
This is a 8 second run by a drag-purpose R32 GTR, which is currently the fastest in the Southern Hemisphere (as per http://www.exvitermini.com). Power is estimated to be ~ 1020whp @ 22psi, it is powered by a HKS T51R turbocharger, and MoTec M800pro EMS.

That is pretty damn impressive, But try doing it on drag radials....that would give our car a run for the money

I am the most anti SupraForums.com person you will ever meet...all those meat heads over there...i have always been a honda guy...i have been on this board for quite some time under my personal screen name of 'ihaterice' ....you will be seeing more of me around...i just can't wait for moroso or gainesville to check out your h22 powered beast...that is by far the best honda engine even if it gets no respect.

james, you are not lying. those guys on supra forums are so unbelievable!! I was on there for about 1 week and i will never go back. they think their **** dont stink. quick story, i laid the smack down 4 times on a 680whp supra from tampa when they were down here for a meet. some kid with an ls1 that was there posted up about it.So I signed up to shoot the ****. thinking they may give me some respect.Boy was i wrong, they were like, "there is no way a civic a can smote a supra".after beating my head in the wall for a week.i signed off and will never go back!!! anyway, thanks for the props on the h22 we will be there in april for the moroso meet. I hope to meet with you.

Oops - sorry for dragging up such an old post - but no, the car is owned by Heat Treatments Racing here in NZ, and piloted by one Reece McGregor, not by Mario of exvitermini fame and the GTR700. The Heat Treatments Racing team is now gunning for 7sec ET's for the upcoming 03/04 race season. Should be cool to see
