Default Camber adjustability?

I am purchasing some Tein RA coilovers, I don't want to drop the car too much maybe .75" or so, the drop is not important to me. What I want to know is can I get my wheels aligned back to stock toe and -1.0 camber at all corners with a drop of .75 - 1". Is there any adjustability built into the stock suspension?

I just want to know if camber kits will be necessary for what I want out of the car. The car will get tracked often and autoxed twice a month. I would like to stay in STX in the autox, would camber kits front and rear take me into another class?

Thanks in advance,
Brian

From STS:

Camber kits may be installed on vehicles that do not have McPherson strut type suspensions. These kits may include replacement control arms or other parts that are designed specifically to compensate for camber changes resulting from lowering the car. These parts must use the original attachment points.

STX says no different.

I would think (but have no experience) that you could get back to stock toe, and the camber kit would allow you to get back to -1 camber.

Just set your toe back to spec or close to zero. The camber you gain from that 0.75" drop would be minimal and if the toe is set at zero, tire wear won't be a problem.

The only time you want a camber kit is when you need MORE negative camber.

My car understeers quite a bit more than I would like. I came from a FR config, to this car. I like a tail happy car. If I adjust in more negative camber into the front wheels and no camber into the rear would that be a possible way to induce a more nuetral car? Or am I completely off...?

Also with the Tein RA (14k front/10K rear), would a JDM sway bar be a good upgrade to also aid my understeer? Or would I need to go bigger with such high spring rates?

Bigger rear sway bar and/or smaller front sway will help you get a more tail happy car.

I run Zeal B6's with SRR- Racing Rear Camber and Rear Toe Adjustment Kits and Skunk2 front arms.

My setup is about 1" lower (5-5.5" from floor to jack point).

Front Camber: -2.1 degrees
Rear Camber: -1.8 degrees
Front Toe: 1/8" Toe out Total
Rear Toe: Zero

I added MORE negative camber like Wai mentioned on both front and rear and running less camber in the rear and Zero Toe to help with oversteer. You could run less neg cam ber in the rear or toe out in the rear to further induce this. The TEIN RA's alone should allow for a lot of oversteer adjustability.

If that is still not enough, add a Mugen 26mm rear sway bar and make the rear ride height higher. Or swap the springs around F10 R14 and see how you like it.

Thanks for all the help guys!

So it will definately be necessary to buy a camber kit to adjust camber. Stock front camber is not adjustable. I will install all the suspension have everything aligned, and the play around with settings to see if I can get what I like. If I can't I will get camber adjustment kits, and probably be back for more help.

Thanks again

With higher spring rates, you need more static camber. I would think you should shoot for at least -1.75 in the front.
