today while i was at school some guy was like "yeah, my cousin had an old 5.0 that was fast as ****. Supercharged, shot of NAWZ, he would run low 9s at Greer (1/8th mile)" so i told him that's pretty ******* slow for a supercharged V8 and he got PISSED. i then told him i ran a 9.40 in my STOCK Prelude with only a 50shot. he then argued that he's never seen a street car with run better than an 8. he then didn't even believe me that i know a guy that has a daily driven mustang that's basically stock with a set of heads and an intake mani runnin like 7.60s


this on top of some guy tellin me he knows a guy with a camaro that runs a 3 sec 1/4 mile, casue he went and saw him a Greer (1/8th mile) and he was running 3s all day.


sorry if this is stupid an OT, but i just had to vent, that guy just got under my skin at school today

 

hahhah...I ran low 9's all day with a stock gsr motor in a 4dr civic...in teh 1/8 mile

I was talking about my previous car at work with a younger apprentice, and some older journeymen(most everyone in the trades hates any import) I told them about what I did to my car....b16 swap, turbo, hondata, etc...I said it was pretty quick...

Then the other apprentice, who is about a year older then me started talking about his old 98 cavalier....supposodly it had $3000 rims, a crematic head, and a header....then he said it ran mid ******* 12's!!



I had the guys respecting me..I didn't even mention what I ran in the quarter mile, then dumb *** goes and says that ****. No wonder why we don't get any respect.
