Default Decal tragedy warning....everyone should read

We had a snowstorm last week, and then the temperature dropped to near zero. Since my outside spigot was frozen I went to a car wash (not a drive through) to spray the nasty, salty ice off my car. When I was finished I discovered that a large portion of my "Type-R" decalcomanias had washed off. I've never heard of anything like this happening before. I guess it was a combination of the cold weather and the high pressure spray. My car is five years old, but I didn't think decals ever wore out.

So where is the cheapest place to order replacements?

them high pressure spray can also damage/remove paint.. there should be some type of restriction on max pressure in carwash places.

It isn't a fake R. I did buy it used (almost new at 11K). It is POSSIBLE that the rear quarters had been painted, but I doubt it. The decals didn't wash off completely. The gummy glue stuff is still there: just most of the paint is gone.

i've never heard of the oem decals coming off in a car wash, i've had mine for 4, going on 5 years through some terrible weather and they're still fine.
go buy new ones but they won't come cheap, or just peel em all off.

From the title of the post, I thought there had been some sort of decal-related injury - seriously.

EDIT: I was relieved once I read it.
