B16A clutch same as B18C5 clutch?
Just curious if they are the same. I know that a B16A clutch will NOT fit a B18C1(GSR), but sometimes the GSR is the oddball. Will it fit the B18C5?
I was under the impression that all b series clutches are the same.
Edit:
Exedy Clutch kits:
INTEGRA 1.8L VTEC/NON-VTEC 94-01 08-900B 08-800B
CIVIC Si 1.6L B16A DOHC/VTEC 99-00 08-900B 08-800B
Same part # for all b series motors 94-up.

ok well hmmmmm. what about flywheels then? I was told that a B16 flywheel will not fit a GSR tranny. So I assume that if the flywheel doesnt fit, then the clutch wont either? Im just wondering because Im selling a clutch for my friend, who had a B16 but no longer has it, and Im wondering if I should just keep it for my ITR.

it depends on if the b16 is a cable or hydro trans.....if it is hydro everything will bolt up the same.....if it is cable trans the release bearing, clutch disk, and alignment tool are different (pressure plate and pilot bearing are still the same). {The b16a cable trans uses the 90-91 integra clutch.} hope this helps you out.
The B16 is was going to be installed on was definitely a hydro. unfortunately, that car is toast and it was never installed.

All B18c have the same pressure plate. B16a have their own, as B18c have more bolts that hold the flywheel and pressure plate together. You can use B18c pressure plate on a B16a flywheel, but there will be some bolts missing (about 3-4). I'm guessing the extra bolts are for higher torque capacity.

B16A, B17A, B18A, B18B, B18C, B20B, B20Z flywheels and clutches are
interchangable. However, they are NOT THE SAME. Some will have different
clamping force than others. Also the clutch disc will have different splines
depending on what trans it was meant to use. Regarding the bolt thing,
OLDER PRE 94 Hondas came with 9 bolts instead of 6 that the newer ones come
with.

thanks guys. So technically I COULD use that B16 clutch on my ITR, however, I will have a few unused holes/bolts on my tranny because the B16 tranny doesnt have the same number. I am guessing that its not the best idea, considering my motor is very worked, and having less bolts on the clutch is probably not the best idea.
I just looked at my B16a pressure plate (P30) and it has 6 mounting points. The B18c should have 8-9 mounting points. I remember when I did my clutch change, I needed to pull out 2-3 bolts so the pressure plate mounts onto my flywheel. If it matters, I'm using my works clutch for 99-00 Civic Si/94-01 Integra with a J's Racing flywheel.

and yes you could use the b16a clutch on your itr, but i would
guess that the clamping force of a stock b16a pressure plate would be less
than a b18c.

6 bolts/9 bolts, either is fine.
All of the b series hydro clutches will be the same as far as aftermarket goes, they will all fit into other applications. They are not all the same though in regards to OEM disc, pressure plate, and clamping force.
