Any chance of having the flange on the manifold rotated? Or not a prayer?
In order to get my HiFi 60-1 to fit on my GSR the flange on the manifold was rotated approx. 30 degrees to kick the compressor towards the radiator. (All pusher fans, no fear of clearance issues.)

You can shave a little more though...it will just be going into the clutch housing.

You can keep going but it will end up going through to the flywheel. I would go much further, just about .5inch max.

it's up to you, but if you do keep going, from what I remember, you might have to shave some of these spots off

When I did it, I took a little off at a time and test fitted a lot. I didn't want to turn mine around because I already had a down pipe made for it too.

Im assuming that is the drag manifold...you could always buy a rev hard then it would fit correct?

That's with the Inlinepro manifold.

I had a 60-1 with a rev hard manifold in my integra. I shaved the block until the 1 of b18c1 was gone and it worked fine. There's nothing behind that...

Ok let me clear some things up and maybe Geoff can chime in here and agree or disagree with me. You will encounter this problem with a Garrett turbo that has a 4 bolt flange. When using certain manifolds, the offset of the garret 4 bolt turbine housing moves the chra into a different location, this is why i often try to tell people to go with the ford 5-bolt like those from Precision.

You are absolutely correct art.

Heres a story. I fabricated my first DSM manifold on a galant VR4. I had two turbos, one 4 bolt 57 trim, one a 60-1 with a stage 5 wheel and 5 bolt. I said i want to make damn sure this manifodl will accept a bigass turbo, so i of course figured no T3 turbo is bigger than the 60-1 with a stage 5.

Needless to say, i built the manifold with the 60-1, welded it up, send it to the custoemr. He calls me "manifold doesnt even come close to fitting the block with the turbo on it" i think is this guy on crack, i have pictures of it fitting!!!

so needless to say he sends it back, i put it back on the car with the 5 bolt and it fits. now im confused. i say what turbo do you have? 60 trim t04e 4 bolt... i put 2 and 2 together and realize the 4 bolts fit like *** when the compressor is on the passenger side.

If you have AC, use a 5 bolt turbo, end of story.

ya...wow that is alot of cutting. You should definately try to find a 5 bolt compressor...unless you are like me, and cut everything apart to make something stupid like this work
