What is an altenator solenoid valve

What is an altenator solenoid valve
what does it do? what would cause this fuse to keep blowing? anyone know a friend just bought a 89 hf and it doesnt run .......we replaced all the fuses and this fuse keeps poping......any help will work.........TIA

The first thing to check is probably the alternator..
There is not really an "alternator solenoid valve"
There should be a comma between the two...
Fuse #14 powers the following:
Alternator (voltage regulator)
Emission control solenoid valves
PGM-FI main relay
PGM-FI ECU (IG1)
FUEL PUMP
ELD=eletronic load detector
EACV=electronic air control valve
Unplug those components one at a time until the short disappears..

Try unplugging the EACV and see if it goes away..
If the valve inside it sticks,it can draw too many amps.

Did this problem ever get solved?
Im popping the same related fuse that control all that stuff.
Could a faulty alternator be causing these headaches?
