Default pacesetter header - any good?

i'm looking at this header right now. of course i'm on a budget, otherwise i would be looking at dc or something of that nature. however, the price is appealing, which brings my concern to the quality or the way it will perform. i'm not looking for the best, but just something that will do its job.

this will be going on a zc motor. however, i heard that i will have to do a little modification to the header. is this true? i appreciate any help. thanks!

Honestly you can get a used DC header for cheaper than that and it will hold up and perform better. Yes you do have to modify the header, what you do is take the header gasket off of the ZC, lay it on the header and mark out the area that is in the way. Grind this area out with a air grinder or dremel tool. I evened mine out very well and fairly far back, I think in all it took around 2 hrs.

That header is crap bro. Save a little more money, or look for a DC used (as stated above), don't waste your time and hard earned money on something that's not going to perform up to par.

I had a pacestter header on my VW Scirocco. I would not recommend it. It was spray painted black and turned to rust in a matter of weeks.

No, don't get it. Save and buy something better or don't bother at all. It's not worth it.

i've heard and seen them rust out. if you get one i would look into getting it painted so it wont burn or rust off...so in the end they are about the same price.

dont do It !! its a POS get a used DC like they said and clean it up a little bit it would be totally worth it. and I belive you might have to drill out some holes where it hooks up to the gasket

I was down at a local performance shop one day and some guy came in all pissed off because his pacesetter header decreased his power. I haven't seen or heard of any good things about chikara, but if you guys are happy with them, more power to ya.

I have yet to hear ANY kind words about Pacesetter. Quite frankly, I don't know how they manage to stay in business with the reputation they have for making crap.

Honestly, my freind bought a used pacesetter armor coat header, had it on his car for about 3 months, and it performs good, noticed a good increase in power, and it still hasnt rusted. I bought it originally for my car but needed osme money so i sold it to him for 85 bucks. but anyway, if you can find a good deal one one there not that bad.
