Took the valve cover off in order to paint it last night.

While doing so, when we unplugged the plug wires, the wires were soaked with oil. Didn't think it was much problem. We replaced all the gaskets and so fourth relating to the valve cover. This morning, we checked again, it seems to be doing the same thing. There are quiet a bid of oil in the plug combustion chamber. What might be the cause of this? The car runs strong and no smoking problems.

What might be the problem? Any help will be appreciated.

i'd say the gaskets that go around the covers holes, but if you changed them then the only thing i could propose is did you clean it out the first time you checked? did you install the gaskets on correctly? or maybe, one of the o rings underneath the rocker assembly has gone bad and its leaking in through the rocker assembly into the spark plug hole

 

altoid - I did replace the gaskets that goes around the plug holes. Before putting everything back into place, we cleaned and made sure everything was correct. I am 100% sure that we have everything done right.

If it's the o-ring, there should only be oil leak in the corresponding plug hole. Right now, 3 out of 4 plug holes are saturated with oil.

Anyone with similar situation in the past?

Did you put the gaskets in flatside toward the head? Sounds like a misinstalation to me. Did you put some oil on them before putting them in?
