Looking for a new V-Twin 1 liter.... TL1000R or RC51...
Just curious as to what you guys think.
I have a CBR600 now ...want something bigger with a little tourque

The RC51 is a decent bike. I would go for that just because I am a sportbike fan. The last version that I rode, ('02) felt O.K. but the 954RR was faster.

I hear this is the last year they are making the RC-51, but honda said that last year. Tough decision. That sv1k looks sweet

You can get a good used TLR cheap, MUCH cheaper than an RC51, they perform about the same with an average rider, Although I have witnessed a TLR absolutely RAPE an RC51, top gear roll ons, 2nd gear punch, everywhere....Its wasn't my bike BTW.
They are fun bikes.
They have kinda funky handling until you find a good setup with the rear rotary damper.....

Your first 2nd gear smash will freak you out coming from a 600, they hit pretty hard, instantly.

Ride em both...the tiller doesnt even come close to the rc51 imho. But the rc51 is more expensive but its worth it.

Damn, I thought the peeps who frequent this forum were above this kind of BS
i think the SV1000S will be a hot bike, even being a paired down TLR. I am SERIOUSLY looking at getting one this year.

Man I wouldn't even have to think about that, I would get the RC51 in a heart smote, I love that bike.
