Hey guys, I was smokin yellowr2000x2 (His rental ) when My hood decided to flip up and smack my windshield. And to add insult to injury, I was on a date and she will never get in my rex again. No big loss on that (who wants a gf that doesn't love your car ?) So now I need a new windshield and hood, but what hoods will fit ? I'm thinking maybe a civic hatch or will the 4 door civics of the same year fit ? (man that bang gave me a headache)

 

Nope, the Civic and CRX hoods are indeed NOT the same.

I fell to this common mistake when ordering my carbon fiber hood for my hatchie. Seems the CRX hood is just a bit longer than the Civics *about an inch), therefore, I had to "fanagle" the hood latch a bit to make it work. Oh well, everything seems to fit now.

 

That's weird, a friend of mine bought a rex a couple months ago.... Looked like someone was jumping up and down on the hood. And another friend just happened to have a civic hatch sitting in his yard. We took that hood and bolted it on the rex with no problem. Maybe you just got a low quality cf hood.....

 

the same year civic hood will fit, i have one on my car, not sure about the hatch but 4 doors do

 

only the hatch and crx are interchangable the 4dr hood wont fit correctly

 

yeah, yall are saying differnt stuff... How about this... If you dont know FOR SURE, than dont pretend that you do and get people mixed up... 1/2 of you guys just BS most of the time anyway...

 

i hope u r arent responding to me my family owns and operates a junkyard where ive worked since i was 12....im not a noob that just talks out my *** the civic and crx hoods are the same if people did a search the would know this

 

civic hatch and crx are the same, from first hand experience.

 

I have a 4th gen hatch hood on my rex.

 

How about a 5th gen ? if I got the front end clip ?
