I had a pacesetter exhaust system put on my crx a while back, yes i know, i know, Crap! Let this be a lesson to all you kids out there with crx's if you go cheap your buying crap. Hey dont blame me i didnt know any better. Well needless to say the tip rusted out and fell off and my riceboy looking muffler was destroyed. Im looking for a true muffler now, considering the piping for the pacesetter is 2.5" and is still in good condition i am gonna keep it for now and just get an axle back system or a muffler and have it welded in. My question is:

Do any of you guys have the 5zigen fireball exhaust? Are you guys happy with it? Also, the Tanabe Racing medallion is out for crx's, anyone got any pics of what it looks like? Do they sell just the axle back system?

Is that picture of the axle back exhaust system or was that muffler just welded onto the crx pipe?I really need to know this because just as i suspected the muffler came out the passenger side and so i fiberglassed my wings west bumper to fill in the gap where the exhaust comes out of but i just talked to a shop around here adn they keep reassuring me the exhaust comes out the drivers side like stock. can anyone give me the real low down? Hurry the fiberglass is drying.

 

i think the tanebe one comes out the regular side but i don't like it because it takes that horriable bend right before it goes in to the muffler so the fireball one is better and it only comes in axle back for the SiR so any crx

 

I have the 5 Zigen Fireball axle back exhaust also, and it exits on the right side of my CRX.

 

Yeah i finally decided on the fireball, the extra piping to get the tanabe to go out the drivers side isnt too appealing to me. The reason i asked what side the fireball comes out is because these incompetent guys at a shop near where i live told me it comes out the drivers side and i iknew it didnt and i kept insisting it didnt but they all said that it came out the drivers side. Idiots. A guy at another shop is giving me a good price on the fireball so im gonna go for that one, 250 axle back ordered. Lemme know if this is a good price or is it about average, and if you guys know where i can get it cheaper let mek now!
