Your school lets you work on cars? If so, I'm really jealous...
Depends on what kind of sites you're looking for. There aren't very many just-plain-info sites kicking around that I've seen.

yeah, im taking classes to become a mechanic, and they totally endorse the use of our own vehicles. Ive done a lot of work already to my 92 4 door, and i cant really afford to take it off the road for a semester, so ive decided to start looking around at some public auctions and dealership back lots for an abused 500 dollar ef to breathe a second life into(ha ha, my instuctor is gonna love that-most kids build V8's). I used to have one about 3 years ago, and i miss it.
im looking for anyhting links wise-especially stuff that covers some SOHC buildup stuff. Im planning to re-build the bottom end that comes with it and put a D16Z6 head on it, because of financial restraints.
id like to be able to clear up some different things ive heard about this-some say it works out well, other say the engine is worthless. I was also wondering about the d15 bottom end with a d16 head-doesnt that drop compression? can i use the higher compression pistons out of the first gen d-series integra motor? Someone else told me these pistons drop into the d15 block (as do the crank and rods)and raise compression, as do the Hf pistons. But i dont know this for sure. i might just go with the entire d16 motor and a 4th gen Si trans. Thats pretty much bolt-in as far as i know, and re-build kit for the motor wont be hard ot get either.
parts arent an issue, theres a local pick and pull that has a ton of 1st gen Teg's. i can get a short block and gut it for under 50 bucks. I could find the Si tranny cheap as well.
At this point, ive got a lot of info from different sources, and im in need of a good, reliable source of info as far as the actual motor build up, the wiring stuff im okay with.
id like nothing more then to drop a B16a in it, but like i said, this is a school project and its on a verry, verry small budget (this is here because im sure someone is gonna say "just drop a b16 in it")
I thought about a ZC, but ive heard that they are hard to get re-build kits for, and thats the point of the class is to re-build, then de-bug a motor and instalation.
Sorry this is so long.. and thanks in advance for any help any one can offer!
