EK coupe or EG Coupe and why?
Which would you choose and why?Im leaning towards the EG more than the EK but some 98'-99' Coupes are going for the same price as the EG with fewer miles.
I went and test drove a 94' Civic EX and it feels different from my 92' Si(maybe the grey interior instead of black?).I sat in the EK and it seemed more comfortable but I felt like it sat alot higher, and the dash is more bulky imo.
Which would you choose and why?
Theres not much weight difference on the EX's to really make a difference.

Your statement is rather confusing, but I'd go with EK. It's a nicer looking car once you modify it with a lip and grille, but it's not as good looking stock.
I would go with the EK if you can get it for the same price.... it's a newer car after all...
They're both very good cars and look really good too..... It's really up to you....

It's simply between looks and speed. an EG, super light, a simple engine swap, weight reduction and maybe a turbo or internal work, and you're flying. But man is the EG ugly. I was going to get one but the looks of it, and they are very popular in my area.......but you can make those things.....a 99 SI with a B16 is in the 15's, an EG can easily reach 13's.
get an eg, i searched for weeks, and test drove all kinds of cars... the EK is really small inside, and there isnt much room for improvement. The engine in EKs are weak, (and isnt it harder to swap? not sure, i juse know about eg's) but with the EG, you have lots of room. and lots of options for inside as well as engine, suspension, and all sorts of goodness... get an EG, you wont regret it.

How are the Ek motors weak? A lot of people who opt for doing single cam swaps go with 96-00 motors, it's just as easy swaping a motor into a 96-00 as it is swapping a motor into a 93-95... Do some research before you start assuming things...
I have had both a 95 coupe and 00 coupe, and my choice would be the 96-00, it's interior is a lot nicer and user friendly, but the 93-95 seems to have more room, but only for the fact that the center console and armrest only come as an option, and though I like both body styles, I like the 96-00 more cause of it's less round shape...

You can really tell how long people have been in the "Honda scene" by what their opinions are on the aesthetics of the 6th & 5th gen civics.
I remember when the 6th gens came out. We hated the bulbous head lights, the car seemed narrower and higher, & over all gaudy.
It took a while, but I've come to accept the 6th Gen.
But to answer your question, All factors being equal (milage, body condition, $$), I would choose the 5th Gen.

So.... people are chosing the EK coupe because of looks, and comfort.
Well if thats what you base your decision on, then maybe you're in the wrong hobby and should maybe go and check out your local Lincoln or Cadillac dealer.

If LOOKS, and COMFORT don't mean anything to you then maybe you should be getting out of the hobby all together, anybody who says that those two things are not important when buying a car is a lying idiot...

Well I did a lot more research than the average kid (I was 15 when I bought my coupe) I knew that the Eg and 3rd gen Integras had a lot of interchangable parts, etc... and that the 93-95 coupe was a lot lighter, and quicker stock than the Ek, I drove my cousin's 2000 Si before buying my car, so I knew what both were all about. Also the Eg is OBD 1, and easier to tune.
I didn't mean to make it sound like Comfort and Looks were not to be considered at all when deciding on a car, its just that for me, and the prevailing trend on this site is Performance over Comfort and Looks.
