Default USDM front end aerodynamics

This winter while the car is on blocks, one of my projects is to install some brake ducts. It seems that most guys mount theirs in 2 places: the turn signal corners, and in front of the radiator. I'm giving some thought to a third location, mounting the ducts under the lip, hanging down from 2 of the 4 large holes in the front under-spoiler.

Does anyone know the aerodynamics of the USDM front end? I've heard, for example, that the headlights are a "low" pressure zone. I'd like to know where the maximum air flow is before I choose where to mount the ducts.

if you remove the front lip spoiler, i'd say it work fine where you want it (3rd location).

if not, i dont think you'd get as much wind thrown in there as you would like.

also, try to avoid bending the tubing as much as you can, as that would cause air not to flow freely.

in all, i dont know how effective those braking ducts would be, as no solid testing that can say how effective they are... but people use them.

you can always cut two large holes in your bumper and ramp air in that way...

under the lip is ok, but it's very easy for the ducting to be damaged or snagged if the car is low

I figure the ducts will be removed when I'm not on the track. Each location has its drawbacks.

The problem I have with mounting them in front of the radiator is finding a duct that is thin enough (front-to-back) to squeeze in front of the radiator and a/c line. The problem with the turn signal location is I'm S.O.L. if I attend another HPDE that requires turn signals to signal a pass. Mounting them under the car invites disaster with my occasional "off's." At this point, I'd just like to know where the ideal air flow is.

Hasn't somebody done a wind tunnel test to show where the air flow is best?
