I have a 97 civic hx I was on it banging gears from 2 to 3rd in 3rd i got a check engine light It came on and stayed on. I hooked up my engine diag. tester I have a misfire in cyl. #1 I just put in a set of ngk's yesterday and the car runs beutifull but im concerned about this problem due to possable detonation. any ways the code that it gave me was P1399 if anyone can tell me what this is I'd appreciaite it. also would a combo of hard up\easy down struts for the front and easy up\hard down rear shocks and a set of adj. coil overs work well together or should i go with lowering springs and the shocks? any imput about the venom 400 pre chip ?
and what sort of performance increaces could come with a msd ign. do I need the whole setup (e.g. ext. coil wires cap roter dist?) or can I just throw on the ignition modual and call it a day of corse with 8 mm wires.jsut trying to get peoples imput on things. mainly the venom chip I'm about to buy one but am trying to get input before i do.

 

Are you sure about that code? I don't see it listed. What code does it give when you jump the service check connector?
