flywheel is always an excellnt choice (ACT, SRR, JUN and few others), for better acceleration.
good clutch such as Exedy, ACT, clutchmasters another good choice, when adding more power to your motor.
leave the rods alone or get them shotpeened if you want an upgrade (they can stand up to 200whp).
get some A1 or ZC PM7 pistons for that 12:1 c/r, so make sure you have at least 93+ octane avalible (not the RON rating but rather pump rating).
go with Crower stage II or III with their springs (retainers is you want to rev past 8200rpm - but some wear isues with titanium and steel springs arise)
if you do upgrade the cams, and have higher c/r stock ecu no longer has good enough maps. so upgraded ECU becomes vital (this is where I come
).
good upgrade is a D16y8 intake manifold with a B/H series throttle body. for header use a reworked stock piece (down pipe) http://www.hadamotorsport.com/tech/h...ion/index.html or get a real header such as RSR or other good name brand.
tranny upgrade can be done as well with 4.7 or 4.9 Final Drive (srr), quaife LSD and even ZC gear set, give great torque multiplication, as well as much shorter gearing.
with all that stuff and more I am confident that 13's can be that far off in a lightweight hatch
