Default need help deciding

allright here it is, i have a 98 hatchback has some mods done to it, nothing really big at all though. im really wanting to do a swap, probably a jdm gsr or somthing along the lines of that, but this is going to end up costing me about 5000 dollars canadian, im thinking well obviously im not going to get the money back out of the car. so it is kind of a shitty investment. recently though i have really been contemplating, starting maybe with a more powerfull car straight up, so what has been on the mind is either a 99 sir, or a 98 prelude sh, both are a lot faster than the civic, and they come fast stock so, which one would be the best choice? is my question

I just have to ask, to you is your car just an object?

personally i would swap it, the price for a Prelude especially a sh is rediculous, you would be better off putting in a H-22 than buying a prelude that just seems like common sense to me.

me personally when I own a "car" its because something stands out in it to me. the potential, the possibilities in "it" are endless, and when I get familiar with the car and how it handles, accelerates, brakes etc.. I feel at one with the car. then its no longer just a "car" its and extension of myself. Thats why I ask you is it just an object to you to be sold for the better object, or is it an engineering feat that best describes you? some people look at racing,"cars" in alot of different ways, but i see "them" as Raw Emotion waiting to be unleashed. Im sure all of this sounds fuc*in weird but hopefully you can understand what im trying to say. pz

hope u swap a motor in that bad boy>

hey man im just thinking practical here, for me to swap an engine its going to be 5000 canadian, just to get the engine, then i have to get other misc parts and have someone wire it, in the end it will probably cost me like 6500 dollars to do that swap, thats money i wont be able to get out of it when i sell it. just stating the obvious

If thats how u feel.

thats pretty expensive there in canada for a motor swap.
patients is a virtue, if you wanna sell your car and get a 00' si or a SH which aint worth it in either case go for it.
My buddy has a 92 si d16 he pulled out a loan for a GSR and had it installed for $4000, if we had the tools and equipment we could of easily done it ourselves. so that blows 00'si out of the water, say if he would've swaped a H22 prelude motor in it which would've costed him $5500 he would be ripn preludes there a$$e$ all day long and the guy who thought he was the sh*t because he has a prelude with a H ducer would be pist cuz he's Still makin payments on that heavy piece of car they call a prelude. but anywayz blah blah bligiddy blah blah... hope this makes you think

no, canadian SI is EX I think. SIR is SI here. I would say to go with the SIR, you can get more performance parts for it and the car will have ABS and be a civic!!!

Keep the hatch and buy a SH as daily driver. That's what I would do.

dude if i had enough money i would definatley have somthing more pimp to drive as a daily driver, like a prelude sh or somthing even nicer. i just dont have alot of money to throw around, and im just sort of wanting somthing new, dont get me wrong i still love the import scene and all. but if i was to get another car i would definatley just lower it and put a cai on it, keep it clean. so yeh i have decided either of the two will do, hopefully come spring time i will have some money saved up and then when i sell my car, i can begin to look around.

thank u, atleast someone appreciates my car poetry.. ehheeh hehehe.. naw j/p
dude u should just sell your car and buy a really expensive pair of new balances and join a running club or something, it honestly sounds like racing, imports or anything affiliated with these two amazing words just isnt for you, you should buy a camaro and be happy that it has a nice and shiny paint job, im sorry it just sounds like you have no heart for racing, or imports in general
