Any tips for me after my first time at drag strip?
Here are my 3 time slips:
............#1...........#2..........#3
R/T.....1.054....... .703....... .938
60'......2.706.......2.690......2.533
330'....6.950.......6.895.......6.726
1/8....10.418......10.341....10.174
MPH....71.08.......71.55.......71.53
1/4....15.929......15.830.....15.658
MPH...87.06........87.37........87.42
So I know I need to work on r/t. My 60' times were very bad as well. I think this is in part because I am running stock size 14" tires and all were at like 40psi all around.
Is there anything you guys see I should do?
BTW: Car is a 94 Civic EX w/ a 1995 B18B that weighed in at 2565lbs with me in it.
Next time I go, I plan on having the car gutted, exhaust disconnected and some change in tire pressure.

dont go and rice out your car just yet homie .......do some tuning and youll run better and seat time is important your times were going down the more you ran right ??? keep runnig till you need more power then go nitrous
I know more track time will help, but I'm just wondering if you guys know any good tricks. I wasn't launching high, yet I was still getting a lot of spin. This accounts partly for the bad 60' times.
if u have an aftermarket clutch, i suggest getting a set of slicks or (preferably) drag radials, if you can cut your 60'fts down a few tenths, you should dip into the 14's no prob, good luck dOOd

Yeah I know 14s are within reach. I had a friend with the B18b with GSR tranny in a gutted coupe going 14.40 at 90 something MPH.
So should I not try slicks or lower tire pressure with stock clutch?
Stock clutch, with 70k miles on it.

Well, i wouldnt run slicks on a stock clutch, but if i was you, id try some drag radials, and invest in a clutch soon, probably the best mod you can get for now, im assuming your running your stock ls tranny?, what other mods? what ecu? just trying to get a general idea..
I'm running the stock LS tranny, but I plan on getting a b16 or gsr, so I'll do a clutch when/if I get a new tranny.
Other mods are just CAI, World Sport cat-back exhaust and advanced timing with 93 octane. Running p75-a01 (OBD I ls ecu).

If you're not running slicks, just don't drop the clutch. Ease it out VS the traction and power. You seem to be running about the same MPH as me so maybe expect about the same 1/8th time unless you get your new goodies on before you go again.

your tire pressure is way to high... drop to like 20 psi in the front to start, and lower 2 psi each run.. see whar pressure works the best, for me I do best on like 15 psi, but I recomend a little trial and error til you find what works best for you...
