Haynes manual helped me--the part your looking for is the clevis(star-shaped). If u cant find it your not looking hard enough---it's behind the upper horizontal spring---take a flathead screwdriver and turn the clevis downwards--until there is friction on the drum. Then go inside the car and adjust the ebrake to 6-8 clicks---7 is ideal. Adjusting it low doesnt do a thing.

The adjuster is there. It has to be.... Like he said its at the top and just below the brake cylinder....

I found it after I cleaned the whole area really well with brake cleaner. I hope I adjusted it correctly. I didn't want it to drag, but I didn't want it to be loose. In the end I had it so it would spin easily with light pressure, but wouldn't keep going once you weren't pushing it (it would keep spinning before I adjusted it). Any tips on making sure its adjusted correctly?

a rule of thumb is to adjust it so it has SLIGHT drag, it should spin about 1 1/2 turns before it comes to a stop on its own.
