It has a salvaged title, and I assume a straight frame, probably a totaled by insurance after theft recovery. It has 66K mi. Right now it has a GSR suspenion, no interior, no motor. I assume the body is in alright shape, I may check it out soon. How much is it worth? Thanks

Sounds like it was totally jacked. I'd say 3-4k only.

 

I would say 5-6k. You get the ITR frame/chassis, but also the left over parts (GSR sus. and whatever).

 

throw it up and ebay and be done with it

I may have a 1997 Chassis missing only the motor, tranny, ecu, header, radiator, axles and exhaust. All interior, suspension, ABS, AC and such parts will be there. Chassis has just under 70k on it. Title is fine.
Wonder what that would go for?

I think someone here picked up a '97 theft recovery for under $1000, just a shell

 

^^^ this is what I'd pay for it at MOST. gs-r suspension is worthless (practically) and the shell isn't worth THAT much.

 

Ken R0cker: possible has a shell for sale. Ask him for it, much cheaper than what you would normally pay, slightly bent... U can use it for a track car or something like that. FYI!

 

I personally would pay 3k for it. I probably will buy such a car to start with down the road once I get some more cash. I've always wanted a 98 R and I'm going to gut it anyway so why have interior Dash and seat is all I need (and a cage)

 

A buddy of mine just bought his stolen R shell back for $3000 and it didn't have the salvage title on it (It never went back to the state). Hope that helps
