New HID owner, just a few questions...
Ok, so I got my new 4100K kit from Autolamps-online, which I highly recommend, they have incredible product, only use Phillips stuff, harnesses are all well made, just top-notch...Ok, the H4 kit comes with the little CAD designed beam adapter on the bottom of the bulb, so it's not a glare problem, and I've turned out my aiming screws until the adjuster wheel won't make contact with the gear it should turn, and yet I still have people flashing their high beams at me. Don't get me wrong, I don't care if I'm blinding someone else, but it really gets on my nerves because I can't tell if my lights are too bright, or people are trying to tell me there is a cop up ahead. Anyway, I was thinking about getting some headlight eyebrows, maybe that would knock a little of it down, but I wish I knew how to fix it....Any suggestions, or am I destined to **** off everybody I meet on the road? (BTW, I know all about auto-levelers and stuff like that, so save it, I need some real world fixes here)
Almost forgot, the kit went into a 00 Civic SI, yes, i know those H\Ls aren't really good for HID, but meh, what are you gonna do?
OK last time with the edits, maybe I need some one to tell me how to aim the lights on a 00 Civic Coupe. I've only seen one adjuster screw on each light, adjustable with a Phillips screwdriver, straight down from the top. Is there another I should be looking for, and if so, what did I knock out of adjustment?

on the top part.. there is a hole in your radiator support, should be close to the fender, with the philips head gear in there.. that is for left right adjustment..and in the middle of the light, down lower in the engine bay..closer to the radiator.. on each headlight, there is another one.. u gotta stick the screw driver in diagonally, and thats your up & down adjustment..
i suggest going onto a dark road.. cover up one headlight.. adjust the one shining, so that the beam shoots straight out, and evenly on the ground.. not too high, not too low.. then cover that one, and make the other side as close to it as you can, then take the cover off to see if you have good center light, and good distance, the glare will be no problem with that kit, i think your lights are just pointed too high, so your cutoff is not below peoples vision.. and then when u got them as good as u want.. go park about 5-10 feet from a wall, and just make the 2 brightest spots (high intensity zones) level with eachother.. and you should be as happy as can be.. ive done a lot of these on civics.. but ive never had the pleasure of seeing one with a glare shield.. you made a great choice..

thats new info to me
haha.. i just know how it is to have a civic with HID behind me and coming at me with his headlights not properly aimed.

The only thing I can't figure out is last night I adjusted (thought I did anyway) the high-low adjustment as low as I could. The reason I say this is because I turned the inside adjustment screw until it wouldn't even make contact with the gear it was supposed to turn. Maybe I was turning it the wrong direction...I'm gonna give it another go today and see how it turns out, but it just seems to me that loosening the screw would allow the lights to sag, as opposed to tightening the screw, making the lights pick up. I'll let you know how it goes....
when you drive, is the light on the ground or in the trees? cuz with that kit, you shouldnt have to adjust them all low like that

thats not good.. lol.. with that glare kit, you shouldnt be lighting them up anymore than need be.. all your light should be concentrated onto the ground.. you should just pull your car up to a garage and keep movin the adjuster til u can see which way the beam is moving then go on the road and adjust them til they're good..headlight aiming is easy..
