Is there any benefit to the VIS 'attacker' hood or whatever the other kind is called that they have... (Attacker, Enforcer, Annihilator, it has some stupid name. ) It's their hood with the vents in the front. Do these vents help cool the engine, or help aerodynamics, or anything like that, or is it just ricer bait?

Since I am not a car guru, so please bare with me... why a carbon fiber hood? How much does a stock hood weight in comparision? Is the wieght difference between OEM and carbon even going to be realized in real life driving?

Just asking question therefore, chilli with the FLAMES... fo sho yo, izsel, chisel my nizel...

Shut up you stinkin n00b!! I'm just teasing.

Really, I can not justify the 15lb weight saving. Carbon Fiber, nowadays, has become more of an aestetic mod rather than a functional mod. Often you see people with carbon fiber hoods and claim that it's a functional mod, but they have a 150lb sub-box/amp in the back.

Of course this is my opinion. I personally would not put a carbon fiber hood on my car, just for the fact that my OEM hood fits nicely and looks good already.

Now back to the topic. That is the best looking CF hood I've ever seen. Notice the rounded edges, unlike other's sharp and squared off one. It screams quality. The fitment is near perfect and the weaves, omg, the weaves are amazing. Nice hood.

well with all aftermarket parts, fit willnot be OEM perfect, but it is a pretty good fit still, ill take some pics of it and show you the "imperfections.

Sorry For It being Blurry, But You Get the Idea

Not Snug Fit

Hood Is Slight Above Fender (Eye Level)

If You Look Closley At The Curve You Can See A Gap(Hole)

As with all aftermarket parts, you will not have a perfect "OEM" fit. So if you dont like it, dont buy it. As far as i know all the people i know who have VIS hoods have little "misfits" like these. Hope these pics willhelp you decide on getting a VIS hood. I still love it!!
