Default Springs and Coilovers?

I was just woundering, what is the difference between springs and coilovers?

Because...After much thought i decided that Im not going to do much to my 86 accord except lower it a bit, tires, not rims because the previous owner put some nice old school 15 inchers on it, and probobly a exhaust. I just want to know what I should get spring or coilover and any advice on which brand? Dont tell me to get Teins or something cuz I only have $500 and Im not about to spend all of it

Default Re: Springs and Coilovers? (No Car No Money Teen)

lowering springs are springs that are generally stronger spring rated, and less coils than the factory spring -- where you can only install them, drop the car and that's that.

coilover set ups are adjustable and are even shorter than a lowering spring and factory spring with a base to them, so you can adjust them accordingly to how low you would like your car to be.
