prices for powdercoating?
i'm lookin at gunmetal, and if that's too spendy, then just gloss black. $140 per wheel?
Now, I got my wheels done for $35 a piece but it seems that the place doing them is doing a rather sloppy, hap-hazard job. When I went to pick them up there was uneven coverage and drips. I had the shop re-do them and will be able to update you with the results this week. I got a metallic color, but had to order custom powder, which cost around $50 extra. If you are planning on doing flat black, I would highly recommend wheel paint. Why? Factor in cost, reliability, and ease of repair and you can figure it out yourself. Done properly, wheel paint can be as dependable as powder. I have to stress done properly.
thanks for the info...a friend of mine knows of a place close to here and said through him they'd do it for $100-$150 for all 4. he is very **** about his car and wouldnt have shitty work done, but this still sounded very low

im not sure how the cx rims look from the top of my head...but since its 13inch rims?? i wouldnt spend $ on powder coatin them..
heres the how-to-do part
1. wash & clean rims thoroughly
2. use 400 then 600grit to sand down the rims so the spray paint will adhere
3. clean off wheels
4. apply the color u want layer by layer..its a slow process
5. the apply the clear coat..the more clear coat the better...it shines more
6. let them dry
it takes about 3hours or so for 2 rims....mine turned out VERY nice...ppl think i powdercoated them.
current color is "smoke"...when spring rolls in, im redoing my rims graphite grey color, i did my intake that color, looks better than my rims hahaha..but then im gonna sell my rims after i redo them.

As long as you don't order any special colors, it's failry cheap. My buddy got his Z06 wheels powdercoated gloss black in the centers for 65 bucks per wheel, which isn't too bad.
