Default B20B into 91 CRX SI

What will I need.

Will the injectors and distributor work out of the B20b block?

Any links to other info?

Thanks

Ian

I went to the Hasport link you provided, there didn't seem to be much info in regards to a B20 swap.

I tried to search for some B20 info using the search function, but most of the info that actually came up was actually related to B20 Vtec swap.

I am actually just interested in the simple details in putting a complete B20 into the CRX. I use to be a Nissan guy and now that I got a CRX, I am learning all over again. I am not too sure about OBD 0, I, and II. The CRX being OBD II, and the crx being OBD O, I really have no idea on what I need.

There was a situation where a guy wanted to put a B16 into his EG, the company messed up and got screwed over, what he got instead was a B16A1 with a GSR tranny. From that, I learned that in order to get the B16A1 to work, he would need new injectors, distributor, clutch, and a few other things.

Thanks.

Ian

for a b20 swap, youll need:

b20b motor(126hp 126ft/lbs torque)
OR
b20z motor(146hp 126ft/lbs torque)
90-93 integra intake manifold(complete, intake manifold, throttle body, fuel rail, injectors, etc)
90-93 integra axles
90-93 integra dist
90-93 integra ecu
b-series cable tranny(LS, GSR, etc, as long as its cable)
b-series mount kit(hasport, place racing, etc)
modified shift linkage

the thing to remember is, your car is non-obd and the b20 electronics are obd2 which isnt compatible. so no matter what, youre going to have to use non-obd b-series electronics(injectors, distributor).

Hmmm its a b-series motor which means 0 frame bashing. You can even drop H series motor into crx with 0 frame bashing.

yOU WILL NEED A SET OF MOTOR MOUNTS. tHE FUEL RAIL AND DIS. FROM ANY B SER. WILL WORK FOR WHAT YOU NEED . the hp from a b20b nonvtec should be around 140 hp to the ground and 115 Tg or so hope this helps in your b20 to getting it runnig.

Not sure I completely agree.

If you use the crx wiring harness you should use a 90-91 integra ecu, the 92 and up have different pinouts.
The crx distributor, alternator, injectors etc all work fine too.

For the rest it all sounds good.

there is like about 8pages of the simalar topic.
this crap should be lock man. I hate when people don't use search and just want answers handed to them on a silver platter.

i garentee that there are ATLEAST 30 topics about B18-B16-B20 swap into the EF chassie.

ok heres what you need for your swap.

90-93 teg axles.
90-91 teg dizzy
90-91 pr4 teg ECU
any non hydrolic cable type tranny (LS for boost and GSR or YS1 for all motor)
Modifed shift linkage or buy the hasport one I found mine for 100 bucks/w short shifter
youll need a 90-93 drivers side eng. mount to make the mount compat. w/ the hasport mount.
any b series header
90-91 LS Intake manifold complete dont forget the Injector resistor if your cars a Dx
hasport mounts
aftermarket clutch
you can use your stock CRX altenator. you will need to bash a part of the frame
find out where on hasports site.
a fuel pressure riser, the maps on the PR4 are for a 1.8 not a 2.0
you can see what psi you should set it @ by playing w/ the calculator @

Good luck

I don't get why people get all pissy about reposting???

I DID DO A SEARCH, but there's NOT much info in regards to strictly B20 swaps, everything that comes up are B20/VTEC related. That's not the info I am looking for.

It's amazing that a forum in relation to a 15 year old car can NEVER have anything repeated. Geeeez, why don't we just closed the forum down? Since, just about any question that's related to the EF's been asked at least once or twice since the birth in 1988??

Information handed on a silver platter? This is a place for public information sharing. Instead of wasting your time, letting everyone know your frustration in regards to reposts, why don't you be a little more helpful since you might know which topics were talked about previously and link us?

by trial and error, i found out that the best belt for the swap is 30.5" long. you dont need to make a dent in your engine bay with it... (goes for any B series swap)
