fuel filter, screw on top...which way to turn it?
Does the screw/bolt on top of the fuel filter turn in the opposite direction as regular nuts and bolts? or is it the usual righty tighty, lefty loosey?

I haven't found any bolts or anything to be reverse threaded yet.
cool. for some reason I thought they were reverse threaded.
either way I cant get the bitch off

Put the open end on it and use a 5lb short-handle sledgehammer to knock it loose.
A regular hammer will work too...just put couple layers of tape over it to deadblow it and hammer away at the open-end. Gotta put a little more oomph into, but as long as the open-end is seated properly, it won't wreck anything.

haha i hope you arent serious. i got a gauge on top of the filter so i gotta use a open end wrench...and i was basically bending the whole bracket the filter sits in just by using my huge muscles
How about securing the bracket back on the firewall first? Then you can go apeshit on it with your huge muskles.
Nevermind I said that....it probably is.
Using a hammer with the wrench is kinda like using an impact on it. It'll put a lot of force on it in a shorter interval of time.
BTW, I ordered some new screws and stuff for the console. Should be here next week.
