Default 95 LX after accident pictures and how it looks repaired + questions

Here is the link to my yahoo photo album: The first folder is after body shop, and the second one was what it looked like after the accident.

http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/hellwithme001/

Well the car drives pretty good exept a few problems. The first problem I have is the accelerator is really stiff and sometimes sticks (not severely) it doesn't depress all the way causing the car to idle around 1200 rpm. Another problem I noticed, I don't know if it was in effect before the accedent because my sister was driving the car, the auto tranny switches the first 2 gears pretty rough, this does not happen all the time but frequent enough to notice. I think those are the only 2 "serious" problems.

I am wondering how to fix the accelerator problem because it's really annoying and I am not worrying too much about the tranny because I'm going to swap it soon (unless its going to die in the next 2-3 months) so I'm just wondering if anyone has any information on these problems?

OMG, that was heavy damage. Good for you it was well repaired, front corners are pretty much the most sensitive and delicate parts of the car to repair.

my driver's side airbag didn't break my windshield. But, the passenger airbag hit the moonroof and popped it open. Weird eh?

edit: I can't spell.

The car drives perfect exept for the transmission problem that I have, the amazing thing is that the car had NO frame damage. Can anyone help me with the accelerator problem and the transmission also?

DAAAYUM! That was a helluva wreck! I just had one (not nearly that bad) and it ripped some dough out of my poccket-it's almost easier just to buy another one, but anyway, about your question, my car is the same way with shifting. It's almost a jerk feeling and it freaked me out at first. After a while, it simply stopped doing it. So I'm just as lost.

No no, the first folder is after it went to the body shop and what it looks like now, the second one is how it looked after the crash, hope that clears something up.

as far as your problems, i don't know about the tranny, auto trannies are a pain but about your acelerator, try putting some lube on the linkage on the TB as well as the accelerator wire (wire?)

$4000 to fix insurance payed for it, they were going to total it because it cost too much but we pressed them to fix it. Anyone have info on tranny?

perhaps your problems are together, try to accelerate the car (off of course) right on the TB and see if its hard to move or anything

It seems pretty hard to move, how stiff should it be?

I guess it should be tight but not hard, you know? you are working against a spring, but i couldn't tell you in words how hard, you be the judge of that

Like i said before, sometimes tighting the TB cables make your tranny react quicker, perhaphs both problems come from the same place, check your TB, you could get it out of the car and check it, it's pretty easy, IM me if you are going to do this or something

one or more of your motor mounts are messed up. I would have the car inspected by honda and then if they are broken, have them repaired and have the insurance co pay for it.

Every car has a frame if I am not mistaken, it's like a skeleton for a car, in the factory all the other body parts are then attached to the frame and if it is damaged in an accident then it's better to total rather than try to realign the frame. I'm not a car expert but that seems right, and if I am wrong I don't mind being corrected.

So WildHorse1966 please explain how the car has no 'frame'? If your going to state something please explain it a little better.

Yep it drives good, anyways about the problems anything besides the TB? Just to have more options to choose from when I have time to look at all the suggestions. What about the motor mount <--- what could that be causing?

O ya I need to change my timing belt? Is it hard to do it yourself?
