Opinions wanted on buildup...
Ok here's the deal. My GSR block is on it's way to GE getting 85mm sleeves. I have stock length Eagle rods already, so the only question is which pistons to go with, and at what compression. I have a Hondata S200 for tuning so I was thinking I could get away with 12.5:1 compression 85mm pistons. I think I've settled on either Endyn, IB spec, or shelf Wiseco slugs. If my math is right then these pistons would have a dome displacement of 7.08ish cc and would land me right around 12.5:1 static C/R, save that I'm using Skunk2 flat valves which are -1.1ish CCs to the combustion chamber or about +.3 on the C/R. This should yeild 12.8:1ish static compression, and a dynamic compression of around 11.43:1 w/ 46 degree ABDC cams and stock gasket. To my mind this should be a powerful yet fairly forgiving setup. Anyone have any thoughts?
