My revhard manifold looks like $hit
get some sandpaper, or a electric drill with a wire brush attachment, sand all the rust off and clean it off, then get some high temp black or silver spray paint. Or you could just sell your revhard manifold to me and buy a full race one
what you can do is take it off and clean it and paint it with 1500 deg paint or get it JET HOT coated and will forever be nice and sliver. im sorry it looks like crap. you should have know that cast rust.like the stock headers
i heard that the inline pro SS rust too can any one verify..?? i was wondering how it rust if its SS.

SS will still rust because its still a steel. Dont let the Stainless make you think it will not rust, but it is more prone to rust and will go longer before you see rust. My InlinePRO has yet to get any rust.

yeah and if you dont mind lag to 6000 rpm, dont buy one either
btw, revhard paints their weldel non-cast manifolds with VHT black spray paint, so maybe try that out? Not sure how it lasts, ive personally never painted a manifold before.

get a soft wire brush.. im not talkin like a tooth brush thing.. it goes on an air tool.. the tool spins it super fast.. im having a brain fart so i foget what its called. i do that to mine about once a month.. looks ok
You guys are all wrong. get a can of that copper gasket spray. coat the manifold with it (even while on the car if you choose) it will make it a very very nice color, and never wears off.

Stainless steels are corrosion/rust RESISTANT, not corrosion/rust proof. Chlorides and fluorides and other substances can, and do, attack stainless steels. Something that would cause surface rust is if you used steel wool to clean it, imbedding some of it into the stainless.
You can get it "Passivated" basically dipping it in nitric or citric acid to dissolve away the rust, and it will help protect the manifold a bit better from rust (helps form the chromium oxide layer that makes stainless, stainless)

I've never heard of or seen stainless rust. Can anyone input on the matter? Maybe the cheaper grades of stainless? I didn't think 304, 316, or 321 could rust.

I have seen what your talking about art...its kinda a surface rust. It knocks right off unlike regular steel where it inbeds the metal. Also...I have tried 1500 degree paint on a cast revhard manifold and it flaked right off. Your best bet was to jethot it when it was new as I dont think it works as good after its used...but you might give it a shot.
mine started to rust also so I got it bead blasted and used the DEI silicone spray on it. I put a few coats on it to make sure it wouldn't burn off and it has never rusted since.
stainless itself does not rust, its inpurities within that will rust. Had a looksie at a DC stainless header recently, they rust nice
Cast stainless rusts a little bit, but its very very minute. Hardly even noticable, even when polished.
