Default exedy clutch good???

found a place with exedy organic full race clutch with Exedy racing pressure plate, Exedy organic disc, NACHI release bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool for $265 shipped. i know price is a good deal but what about their quality. know anyone running this? let me know

Been using it for about a month. Clutch is very smooth and grabs pretty well. It's probably ideal for the daily driver / occaisional spirited driving category.

Organic is not race. Read my post "Clutch 101" and you'll see why. You'll also save yourself alot of headaches.

It is not proper or professional that dealers/distributors/sellers call a organic clucth a race clutch. Organic disc are barely acceptable for "perfomance" driving let alone drag launches etc. Ask anyone who has busted their clutch and they'll tell you that the springs or hub broke on there organic "racing" clutch.

i bought mine from clutchcity and it's slightly stiffer than oem, but grabs well, i don't race too much and it works fine. they are also made by daikin, a trusted brand. if you want a race clutch and strictly a race clutch it's pobably not what you're looking for. i give it on a scale of 5

exedy = dainkin clutch. which is a manufacturer of OEM clutches for honda/acura and many other cars...superb quality.
