Default Testing Waters- 1995 B18c1 Short Block Complete!!

Legit GSR short block, Complete with FACTORY OIL COOLER (Also found on Type R's And only came on 94-95 GSR's)

Oil pan has been taped for turbo

Only problem, #4 Cylinder had piston top crack in it, Has scratchs and May be able to be repaired with just an Over Bore (which is typical with rebuild)

So bottom-line the least this motor needs is a rebuild with Over bore pistons ( honda oem or aftermarket 81.25 or 81.5) Or perhaps good core to get resleeved!

Cranks good, Girdle and all is still assembled from factory!

PLEASE PM me with offers! I will be having someone else look at the block to get another Opion!

Thanks, Eric

plus, it isnt in good condition.

paying labor to fix it will eaisly go to 300+ just for boring. not even resleeving.
i htink it is a fair rate.
plus complete should be complete with all sensors, crank pulley. and should be in working condition to pay the price for a "complete short block."

If your paying 300+ for A bore job then i would consider shoping around for a differnt machine shop!

Used gsr blocks (that still need to be Over sized re bored) sell for upwards of 800+

Any time you should ever Rebuild a Motor You should always Go Up size on the bore! Why do things half ***?

So in my eyes this motor is worth the same to some one that had plans to build a motor Anyways!

This Short Block is not designed to be sold to the Person looking to just Drop it in!

Thanks, eric

rainmanEk: i am not trying to be a dick to you, but i remember you posting

Has scratchs and May be able to be repaired with just an Over Bore (which is typical with rebuild)

the word may be able means, i am taking a chance. If the machine shop say that the scratches are to deep and that i should resleeve the block. Then i must pay the money to resleeve it. Pictures can only show me so much, there is still a degree of uncertainity that i have to compensate for. I apologize if you feel that 300 was a low ball number. But you will have to understand, I am not standing with you looking at the condition of the motor. I have to use a picture.

No Hard feelings and i am not trying to rippe you off. Therefore, please accept my apologizes.

also, i was talking about 300(labor) to sleeve the block not to overbore. If i have to fix one cyclinder i might aswell go 84.00 mm. and use better sleeves. I dont do half *** jobs. Therefore give a person the benefit of the doubt.

thanks, and sorry for the long post.

Asking price will be $700.00 OBO

If you have nothing nice to say, please dont say anything at all!

300 shipped to houston, TX 77083.

thanks!
truck frieght alone from tampa to houston is going to run from $200 to $300. i know because i drive semi's for a living. so he would practically be giving it away for $100. a better offer would have been $300 plus freight. dont even try to ship this UPS, OR fed ex. cost you close to $600. use ABF, or Yellow, or some other LTL carrier.

yes i am aware of the damage

How can a short block be $200-$300 yet all of the motors I, along with my friends have gotten (all from CA) have been shipped for $150-$200. I think that $300 to sihp a short block is a bit much.

if they are companies they are sending them in bulk as in more then 1. or if the company agrees in writing to use a carrier exclusively, the carrier will ship at a reduced rate.

freight charges are billed per mile from zip code to zip code. the longer the trip is the cheaper the per mile charge is.
ill give you an example. if i were sending something from LA to houston the cost could be $0.48 per mile. while the freight charges from LA to phoenix would be $0.78 per mile.

the nubers i have used here are for analogy uses only, and are not real world freight charges.

Bullshit on these shipping prices. I shipped my bare block From CHICAGO to GOLDEN EAGLE in Cali for like 70 bucks using UPS world ship. It got there fine and I got it back fine! Just pack the box with wood and a blanket to cushin . .
