Tires screeching everytime, anyone know why?
I don't remember how long ago it started doing this, but when ever i try to take off in 1st gear (or 2nd) there seems to be a screeching sound coming from the front of the car. It sounds like the tires are spinning but now that i hear it too often, i'm trying to think of the worst case scenario....I currently have a CM 6puck clutch (no springs) and it does grab pretty hard, but it wasn't enough to spin the tires whenever i was in city traffic. No matter how carefully I try to modulate the clutch, i hear the screeching sound. I did change out the shocks recently to KYB's(previously I just had H&R sports) and I was thinking that the excessive negative camber was the reason for the tires so easily spinning, because there's not enough rubber touching the ground...but then again maybe there could be a problem with my trannny...the screeching sounds like it is mostly from the tires but i don't know for sure...it's very annoying...any help or comment would be appreciated. thanks.
ACT puck clutches have the tendency of doing this, when I had one in my CRX it only did it in first gear though...
