Another Statistic.....
Well, It snowed here in Philly last night. I woke this morning and went out to find that someone, actually several someones, was nice enough to clean out my parking spot. I mean, really cleaned out the spot. It was so clean, there wasn't even a car in it anymore, just some tracks where they backed it up and drove it away.
I'm in shock right now. I loved that car. It was basically stock, but you don't need to modify an R to get immense pleasure from it. I had my alarm on, didn't hear it if it went off. I have an unbrakeable autolock as well. Of course, it was not on last night. I thought I was relatively safe in my little apartment complex in Lower Bucks County.
Well, 01-1072 is gone. I have filed a police report. I don't really expect it back. Be on the lookout for any ITR parts in the Philly, Jersey, Del. immediate area. They may be from my Black Beauty.

EDIT: The car has been found! At least what is left of it anyway. I could not get into the place where it is being held, have to wait until Monday morning. This is what I could see from outside the fence. The interior is totally gone. They even cut the seatbelts! The suspension has been replaced with that froman old integra, 4 lug 5 star wheels, shocks and springs, they even gave me tires with decent tread on them and disk brakes in the front and rear. The engine, tranny, radiator and header are gone as well.
I'm not sure how the insurance company is going to handle this. Are all of these stock parts still available from Honda? Engine & tranny? I figure I would probably replace some of the missing parts with aftermarket items, but a lot would still have to come from Honda.
Thanks for all of your support.

Sorry to hear man....damn this filthy city!
If you have some free time, and are curious...take a drive down into South Philly...and cruise the back streets behind Oregon Ave. Just go up the streets 1,2,3,4,5...you never know what you'll find.
This was advice given to us by some friendly towtruck drivers who overheard our conversation with the woman at the impound lot when we were checking there for my roommates stolen Civic. Its either in a garage in South Philly or in South Jersey being taken apart...what a shame

Sorry to hear about that... My last car, a 93 Prelude VTEC, was stolen about 5 years ago from my apartment complex in King of Prussia (western Philly subrurbs). Delaware State Troopers found it 3 days later in an industrial park in New Castle, DE...

I know this has probably been covered before. How did they manage to defeat the immobilizer and start the car? I know a lot of people have said that the immobilizer is crap, but still, how does someone get past it? If you don't want to post here, please PM me or send an email to f_wentz@hotmail.com.
