Ok i have an 94 Sedan. And whenever i crank up my car. I look at the RPM and it is at 1rpm, i never touch the gas or anything. Is that normal for Civics to do that or is something wrong w/ my engine? If so there is a problem what do i need to get that sh*t fixed. Thanks Alot.

1 or 1000 rpm??

Its not possible to be at 1 rpm, the tach actually starts at 500rpm if I remember right?

What do you want it to be at?? 0?? Then your car wouldent start at all. Yes its normal.

 

o **** my bad!! 1000 rpm.. so it is normal for that?

 

Normal idle speed is supposed to be around 750rpm, but it always idles higher on start up when warming up.
